Tips for taking a GREAT Selfie!

Okay, now let's be honest who doesn't want to look radiant in a selfie?  If you are anything like me I take many but rarely post any of them.  For one, I have to take about a million before I decide which one I like, then I need to pick the perfect filter, which is usually between, Process or Instant.  By the time I do all this, I just say forget-it! So, here are a few tips for you beauties that will save you some time so you won't have to take a million selfie, before you post!

RULE #1   Wait for the golden hour! The time of day before the sunsets is perfect.  It will literally make anyone look amazing.

RULE # 2 Every wonder how your favorite celebrity has the perfect lighting? Well, we all don't need an assistant to look just as perfect as them.  Get a white piece of paper and hold it verticially towards your face.  It will work like a make-shift refection.  The light will hit in all the right places.

RULE # 3 Use a higher, I like to use HighBeam by Benefit.

Best as it gets today!

Essential Oils! Peppermint, Eucalyptus & Lavender

Okay, so I've kinda of been on the crazy oils kick for a few months now.  But I can't help it! I love them!!not only because they are natural remedies but the amazing scents produced from these little gems.  More recently, I've been using lavender oil in my daugther's bath.  It seems to relax her and myself, making an easy transation off to bed.  (My daughter isn't the best sleeper so every little bit helps.)  My husband recently had a really bad cold (a man cold, the worse cold in all the land), and I used a few different oils around the house and my daughter and I haven't gotten sick so far.  That was two weeks ago now.  Below are a few pictures of the oils I have been using so far!

Here's the peppermint oil I've used a few times.  It's suppose to work for nausea and fevers.  I did try it with my daughter, when she had a fever, it didn't work but her fever was from a vaccine she had received.  However, I used it when I had the flu and I stopped throwing up, right after I used it.  You can put it on your feet and put socks on for a fever reducer.  For nausea put a drop or two on your chest and use a tissue with a few drops on it and take a few whiffs.

Next, is the eucalyptus oil, this oil works well when you have congestion.  You can use it in a defuser, if you have one or, like the peppermint oil add a few drops to a tissue and take a few whiffs.  You can also rub a few drops on your chest.  It's like a natural Vicks! I use Now Essential Oils brand btw, the price is right and I like them all so far.  However, there is many choices as far as oils if you are interested in purchasing some of them. All the oils featured on my blog today where about $10.

Lastly, the lavender is by far my fave!! It smells amazing! and I by far, use it the most out of all my oils.  It's great for headaches or migraines, like all the other oils you can smell a few whiffs until you feel better or defuse it around your home.  My favorite thing to do with this oil is to add to my bath! I just drop a few drops in a warm bath  and enjoy! It's relaxing and a lovely end  to your day.  It does seem to help whisk me off to dream land!  Xxoo

Jojoba oil

It's safe to say I have ran the gamut of products, to try and make my skin look radiant. I've bought all sorts of expensive stuff and many different drug store bargain items.  But I have to say Jojoba oil is by far my fave.  I mean this stuff is just ugh-maze-zing!!

I started using this oil about a year an half ago, when I first got pregos with my daughter. I had always hear positive stuff about it, but never tried it to see for myself.  I use it to take my makeup off everyday.  I also use it as a moisturizer after I've washed my face.   My skin is pretty dry, especially the thin skin around my nose and this oil is a great natural way to make your skin look and feel radiant!!   I also use it on my body after the shower.   I used it the entire time I was pregnant ( along with Mama Mio -by Tracy Anderson) and I didn't get one stretch mark while I was pregnant!  As an added bonus your boyfriend or husband can use it as an after shave.

Here's a picture of this little geam! I got it from Trader Joe's for just $7.99!

Vans and Chucks always in-style

Growing up in the nineties, I've owned quite a few pairs of Vans and Converse all-stars.  I feel like these are the shoes that seem to never go out of style.  Even in 2014, I see people of all ages rockin' these shoes.  Below are a few different ways to style this easy stable in your wardrobe, by some of my fave celebrities.

Copy Cat Bags for LESS! ALDO & Target

Ever since I could remember I have always loved designer bags. Chanel, Marc Jacobs, Tory Burch, Betsey Johnson, Rebecca Minkoff the list could go on forever!  But I don't always want to spend a lot on a bag, especially if I purchase it for a particular outfit.
So below are some bags, within everyones budget, and are just as chic as any of the designers I listed above.

This bag is from ALDO and is perfect for the spring and summer!

The Seidenbecker Tote comes in Light Brown, Navy, Medium Purple, Black, Beige, Light Green or Black Synthetic.
From ALDO

This bag is only $40! What a steal!

Here's a Betsey Johnson Bag that goes for about $118!

This next bag is one I just discover the other day while shopping at  Tarjay.  You can get this baby for $22.99 and I think it's worth every penny. It looks like a Rebecca Minkoff!

Get your Xhilaration cross over here!

Here's a Rebecca Minkoff  bag below.  This bag goes for about $200!

I just saw this bag at Nordstrom  (the Tory Burch) a few months ago and fell in love with it! Then, a few days ago I saw the look alike at no other than Tarjay! You could own this baby for a cool $34!!

Here's the look alike by Tory Burch, that would set you back about $435!

I could literally go on forever, but these are just a few I found recently.  I plan on doing a "Copy Cat for Less," whenever I see bags or other articles of clothing that could pass for a "not so budget friendly item."

Nite-nite sweet dreams. Muah
